Palaszczuk opens the door to a vaping ban
In March 2023, asked on TV if she would support a federal ban on vaping, Queensland Premier Anastasia Palaszczuk said: "If [vapes] contain these toxic substances, well, then I think we do have a big issue that needs to be addressed."
The cat is out of the bag: vaping bans are clearly on the table in Australia.
Doubling down on prohibition will only fuel the black market. It will risk the safety of adult vapers with unregulated products, deliver ongoing income to criminals, and fail to kill off the supply channels that teens are using to buy vapes.
We know the Australian community wants to see sensible regulation of vaping products with strict rules. It's time to let the Premier know we're here.
