Federal Vaping Inquiry report released

Legalise Vaping Australia has condemned the Federal Parliament’s Report on the Inquiry into the Use and Marketing of Electronic Cigarettes and Personal Vaporisers in Australia for maintaining the illegal status quo of vaping nicotine, thereby continuing to criminalise Australians attempting to quit tobacco while leaving 500,000 Aussie smokers’ lives at risk by denying access to proven safer alternatives.

The outcome is disappointing for supporters of evidence-based policy and avoids bringing Australia in line with most other developed countries.

Pleasingly, there were three dissenting reports, including committee Chair Trent Zimmerman. You can watch Zimmerman handing down the report here.
