Why vaping laws need to change
The black market now runs riot.
In contrast to almost every other country, Australia banned the regulated retail sale of vapes. Criminals have moved in to meet consumer demand selling unregulated, mystery products to everyone. This won’t be fixed by “tougher bans”. Prohibition doesn't work now, and won't work in the future.
More of the same will not work.
Vaping bans and import controls favoured by politicians and bureaucrats are a proven failure. We must press the case for tough but common sense controls on sales of regulated vaping products.
Youth access is too easy.
The black market will sell to anyone, including young people. This has to stop. We want to see lawful, strictly regulated sales to adults, to kill off the illegal market and ensure adults have access to products they can trust.
Disinformation about these facts is spread by anti-vapers, politicians and even the media in Australia are building a case for more failed policy. It’s time to stop the lies.
